Gives a New Meaning to Virtual Worship
Yesterday, Reuters ran a story reporting that St. John’s Rectory church in Cardiff, Wales had installed a wireless network which allows parishioners to browse the Internet during services. St. John’s pastor, the Reverend Keith Kimber, had this to say:
“The church has to move with the times, and I wanted to make St John’s a sanctuary for everyone, including business people with laptops and mobiles. ... I have no problem with people quietly sending an e-mail or surfing the Internet in church, as long as they respect the church.”
