It's that time of year to make sure you have a calendar on hand for 2007. As much as I use the "calendar" function on my Entourage/Outlook program, a paper calendar that I can mark up, as well as one (or a second) that I can hang on the wall by my desk comes in handy.
Our St. James Calendar has biblical pictures each month, selected to coincide with either the liturgical season or with daily Bible readings followed in our St. James Devotional Guide. (When's the last time you read through the Bible? Or the Prophet Isaiah, for example? The Guide will help you do it, along with Fr. Patrick Reardon's notes).
You can order the Calendar here. And if you would really like to buy a number of them for gifts, handouts, etc but would like a special deal even better than what we have on the order page, well, make me an offer! Yes, we still have plenty on hand, and I would like to see them fly out the door. You can order by phone as well: 1-877-375-7373. Nathan will take your call and prepare your order.
A Bonus: The Calendars begin on December 1, 2006, so you can starting marking them up right away. Besides helping to support the ministry of Touchstone and Mere Comments, purchasing and using the Christian Calendar is just another way to remind ourselves daily of that great company of faithful surrounding us.
I have been using your Calendar and Devotional Guide for two years and highly recommend both. As to Isaiah, I am reading it right now along with everyone else who uses the St. James Daily Devotional Guide for the Christian Year. While I know no one else who uses the Devotional Guide, it is nice to know that their are others out there who are following the same discipline and reading the same sacred text as I am every day.
I frankly would love to be part of a more connected virtual prayer group who uses the Devotional Guide. Perhaps we could share our thoughts on one or more of the daily readings or various commentaries related thereto or Father Reardons "Daily Reflections." If anyone out there is interested in being part of such a group, let me know. My initials in the signature link to my email address.
