I was quite pleased and surprised and encouraged earlier today (Tuesday), our first day back to work after New Year's, to discover a number of donations had been made on-line over the weekend to Touchstone. Last week, also, a number of donations came in, some by mail. Donations for $5,000, $1,500, $750, and other amounts ranging from $15 to $500 were gratefully received. Thanks to all who support this site and the magazine with your participation, gifts, and prayers. We've quite a ways to go this year to avoid that deficit, but with such generosity and the addition of gifts large and small we will make out just fine, I trust. If you'd like to add your gift to the others at this time, it's easily done on-line. Let me just add that I have been encouraged and edified by many of your comments and the discussions on at this site, in addition to your kind support. Thanks again!
Is it more helpful to you if we give a subscription or make a donation?

Margaret: I would say that if you know someone who should be reading Touchstone and isn't, and would possibly end up a subscriber on his or her own eventually, getting them a subscription would be very helpful to us in the long run (and to them!). The gifts are good, too. But we publish to be read. Thanks for asking!
