According to Antiquity Journal, ecavations in Northern Israel have revealed a beekeeping operation from the time of King David and Solomon. In Rehov, an Iron Age city in the Jordan Valley now underneath Tel Rehov, clay cylinders have been unearthed, which chemical analysis has shown to be used for beekeeping and honey. It's the oldest beekeeping evidence yet discovered in the Middle East, right in the land of milk and honey.
Now all they need to find is a clay milking machine and we'll have all the proof we need of the land of milk and honey. Although when you actually see the dry, rocky land of Israel you wonder whether God was kidding around a little.

I've seen projections of past weather. Apparently from 1200 B.C. to 300 B.C. or so, there were these "rain bands" that kept Israel (and Greece and Cyprus) pretty well irrigated. Then they moved north. My understanding is that they live in northernish Europe now.

Actually, Syria and Palestine were quite fertile well into the Christian era, through a combination of somewhat more favorable climate, artificial irrigation, and sustainable agricultural practices. The whole place only went to hell once the Arabs showed up, introduced the camel in large numbers (they were an oddity in the time of Jesus, found mainly on the wrong side of the Jordan), and above all, destroying the infrastructure that made agriculture possible--aqueducts, terraces, irrigation channels and the like. By the time Mark Twain showed up for "Innocents Abroad", you could travel for a whole day and not find a village or see another human being.

Keep silent to mistreating and depriving Palestinians of simple basic rights (and I mean basic water, food, work, security, land, education, travel, medical, export, import, …) and I want to see how god will appreciate that when you meet him and justify going to his heaven!
Assume there is no Hamas, no PLO… but would Israel ever give Palestinians their land, freedom, and count them as humans… of course not! So let’s not hide and accuse Palestinians, Hamas, PLO,… when the end game will always be the same…. Inhumane treatment, theft of all lands and resources, big camps (ex. Gaza). and ending result in death to all Palestinians! I hope you biblical Christians can ever justify that to Jesus!
