My Union colleague Justin Barnard has a powerful post up on the recent decision by the state of New York to compensate women who donate their eggs for stem cell research. Read it here.
from the ESSCB statement:
"the Board has previously instituted by contract a number of important safeguards, including requiring full disclosure of all physical and psychological risks associated with oocyte donation..."
I wonder if the State of NY is as scrupulous about providing such safeguards to women and teens who seek an abortion.
I assume this statement entails that NY State money can now be used used to compensate "oocyte donors" for their time and trouble in helping out state-supported stem-cell research. Your tax money at work.
JPII would not be pleased. Mustapha Mond is ebullient.
