The July issue of the C.S. Lewis Society's email newsletter Logos has a noteworthy item, involving the discovery of an incomplete book project undertaken by Lewis to be pursued in collaboration with J.R.R. Tolkien.
Steven Beebe, Regents’ Professor at Texas State University, found pages for the project, Language and Human Nature, in Oxford's Bodleian Library, and has written up his findings to be published in a future issue of Seven: An Anglo-American Literary Review.
"I was so surprised to find Lewis writing about language and meaning, using examples and illustrations not found in any of his published work," said Beebe. "I knew I had discovered something interesting. But at the time, I didn't know I had found something important."
Cue a new book by Kathryn Lindskoog telling all about how Walter Hooper made it up, etc. Oh wait, she's not with us anymore.

I suppose we'll have to take Prof. Beebe's word for it that the find is "important," at least until his article comes out. Something to watch for, anyway.
