This story in the Philadelphia Inquirer suggest a serious question: What do those entrusted with our national government and soon-to-be-realized (?) national health care intend to do about this type of case: A convicted killer who is asking a judge for "electrolysis treatments as she seeks a taxpayer-funded sex-change operation."
In 2002 federal judge Mark Wolf ruled "that Kosilek was entitled to treatment for gender identity disorder, but stopped short of ordering surgery." Will transgender surgery be included as an entitlement in the final new health care bill, if it comes to pass? A federal court seems to lean in that direction. But an infant surviving a botched abortion will be entitled to....what? Or am I asking an unfair question?Michelle Kosilek was born as Robert and has been living as a woman in an all-male prison in Norfolk, for murdering of his wife, Cheryl, in 1990.
