This BBC report suggests the end of religion in nine nations. All European, but which ones? Of course, I doubt the prophecy will come true. There is another school of thought that suggests the Religious Might Inherit the Earth. If that's true, it would include those nine nations.
Of course it is possible both could occur, Germany is a prime example. I talked to a pair of young German women, exchange students, who told me they would never have children, neither would their friends or anyone they knew, because it would limit how much stuff they could buy (this in spite of a $10,000 government birth credit). So, if they were right, any Christian heritage it retains would die out, while the Muslims emigrating from the south who have no problem with children would inherit the land formerly known as Germany.

The article states: "The idea is pretty simple," said Richard Wiener of the Research Corporation for Science Advancement, and the University of Arizona.
"It posits that social groups that have more members are going to be more attractive to join..."
If that is their premise, they're in trouble, trying to predict what will happen regarding real Christianity, which draws converts even in (sometimes especially in) times of persecution. Popularity doesn't weigh heavily with real converts.
